  5. Backed for 12 Months

Can shocks and struts really be replaced in a driveway?

Yes — for the vast majority of vehicles. Strut assemblies pre-loaded with the spring are now a common replacement part and don’t require a spring compressor. For loaded struts where compression is needed, we bring the right equipment.

Will I need an alignment after mobile suspension repair?

If we replace tie rods, control arms, or anything that changes the geometry of your front end — yes. We don’t do alignments on-site since they require a rack, but we partner with shops we trust and can coordinate the appointment for you.

How long do shocks and struts last?

Typically 50,000 to 80,000 miles, though it varies by vehicle and driving conditions. Once you’re past 75k, it’s worth having them inspected even if nothing seems wrong. Wear is gradual and easy to miss.

How much does mobile suspension repair cost?

Pricing depends on which components need replacement and your vehicle. As a reference, front strut replacement typically runs $400 to $800 per side, and control arm replacement runs $300 to $600 per side. We always provide a firm, itemized quote before starting any work.

Is it safe to drive with worn suspension?

It depends on what’s worn. Tired shocks are uncomfortable but not immediately dangerous. Worn ball joints, tie rod ends, or control arm bushings, however, can fail suddenly at highway speed — and that’s genuinely dangerous. When in doubt, get it inspected.

Do you do lift kits or lowering springs?

We can install most bolt-on suspension upgrades — coilovers, lowering springs, leveling kits. Anything that involves cutting, welding, or major fabrication is outside our scope.
